This course is one of the two courses for designers and becoming themers. This gently introduction into Drupals theming layer will cover using PHPTemplate engine and even if you don't know PHP you will get an overview of the basic functions you might need during theming. At the end of this course you should be able to create a theme from scratch, get basic understanding how drupal generates a page (nodes, regions, blocks, comments, etc...), work with stylesheets and scripts, how to discover themable functions and learn about the best practices.

The second course is the next step for themers, where you will learn more about advanced functionality like preprocess functions or theming forms.

Marek Sotak

the co-founder of atomic ant, is a web developer, designer, speaker and Drupal evangelist based currently in Aarhus-Denmark. He has more than 7 years of experience creating customised web applications for clients.
